Your first delivery is coming with a complimentary vessel to provide care for your flower bouquet in case you are not at home. We send out notifications before your next delivery.

Locally Grown Flowers from Our Fields to Your Door

Unlike the imported flowers that likely arrive in Canada with chemical residue on them, our country flowers are very much alive and perky without any treatment. That’s because they are locally grown flowers, done in a sustainable manner. Their health and beauty show off in their vibrant colours and most pleasing natural scent. Signing up for country bouquet flowers is like taking a piece of our field straight into your home. Nature is calling your name, dear flower lover! Grab your flower subscription today.

Flower Subscription Recipients Always Get the First Dibs on Best Blooms!

Old Barn Flower Farm promises to surprise every recipient of a flower bouquet subscription with a mix of gorgeous, well-known but also those hard-to-find and not-so-easy-to-grow varieties. Before we make blooms available to one-time orders, we first secure the highest-quality flowers for those of you who subscribe in advance. Also, as opposed to taking buckets of flowers to the market, flower subscription helps us maintain a zero-waste approach as we only cut what we know will be used for every booked flower bouquet.

Order Country Bouquet Flowers to Say that You Care

Is there a better way to show your continuous support to your loved ones than to keep sending them fresh cut flowers? A flower bouquet subscription takes care of repeat deliveries; you just need to order it once, and we’ll keep sending beautiful country flowers on your behalf. Also, we can issue an electronic greeting card to the recipient’s email address free of charge. Alternatively, you can add one of our art-illustrated printed cards with a personalized message to be delivered with the first flower bouquet.

Delivery Area for a Flower Bouquet Subscription Program

If you or the recipient of the flower bouquet subscription that you bought as a gift are in one of the places on our map here, we can deliver to you. Our flower farm is located in rural Uxbridge, and our goal is to cater to the communities within about 40 km of us. If you are outside of this geo scope, we cannot sell you the subscription packages, but the good news is that there is likely another flower farm in your area you can turn to. A small delivery fee is already included in a flower bouquet subscription price and relates to this program only. So, what do you say? Would you like some fresh cut flowers delivered?

Frequently Asked Questions About Our Flower Subscription

When will my subscription bouquets arrive?

Our country bouquet flowers are harvested, hand-tied, and dispatched for delivery all on the same day. Depending on where you are located, you will receive your flower bouquet on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. Once the booking for the season is completed, we send out the communication to our subscribers with the delivery schedule. You will receive your flower bouquet always on the same day of the week. Our flower subscription is offered from May to the beginning of October. The specific delivery dates within that time frame are defined by the package you select.

Can I request a change for my bouquet delivery date?

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate such requests. To keep the delivery charges low and to minimize the carbon footprint as much as possible, we plan for more efficient “bulk” deliveries visiting one region at a time. Also, we are a small farm/business operation spending most of our working hours in the fields, so we are limited in accepting special requests of this kind. We have to adhere to set schedules whenever possible to make locally grown flowers cost-effective for everyone.

Can I order just one flower bouquet instead?

Absolutely! We also offer our country flowers as made-to-order bouquets and arrangements with deliveries Monday through Friday. We do request that the orders be placed at least 2 days in advance as we cannot tend to last minute purchases due to our busy schedule. At this time, one-time orders are available through delivery only, and the charges will vary based on where you are. When in season, you can check the availability of fresh cut flowers and place orders here.

What are the delivery charges?

The delivery charges depend on the flower product you are ordering. The flower subscription program already has a small delivery fee included in the package price, and no additional fee will be added at the checkout. However, this is different for other orders. One-time orders from our Farm Fresh Florist section and other seasonal items such as dried flowers and wreaths come with more standard delivery. Depending on your region, those fees will be different and can be selected from a drop-down menu within the desired product listing. Our locally grown flowers are also offered through DIY flower buckets and event and wedding flowers which are pick-up options unless arranged otherwise.

Can I pick up my country bouquet flowers?

If you sign up for a flower bouquet subscription or make a one-time flower order from our Farm Fresh Florist section, then your flowers will be delivered to the address you provide. We do not offer pick-up options with these flower products at this time.

I am moving. Can I cancel my flower subscription?

We’d be sad to see you miss on the beautiful blooms, but yes, you can cancel your subscription due to unforeseen events. As long as you give us heads-up at least one week prior, we will be able to accommodate you. Please send us an email at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com with the subject line “Flower Subscription Cancellation Please.”

I am going for a vacation; can I pause my subscription?

Most people plan for a getaway vacation in advance and book subscriptions in the months they will be home. However, if you found yourself a fantastic last-minute deal, well, good for you; we hope you have fun! We can pause your flower subscription with enough lead time when such and similar situations happen. The bouquet/s during your absence can be arranged to be delivered to your loved ones instead, or we can delay the delivery for when you come back. We only request that you please notify us at least one week prior by emailing us at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com with the subject line “Flower Subscription On Pause,” and we’ll arrange the best solution.

Can I buy a flower bouquet subscription for someone else?

Are you kidding? What a wonderful idea! Just think how much you’re going to make this someone happy. You are a thoughtful and good person; so glad you are here! Absolutely, yes, we love when our locally grown flowers go out as a gift. Once you select the flower subscription package, make sure you provide the delivery address of your loved one, note that it is a gift, and you may even add a beautiful card with your personalized message if you’d like. You can send off all your additional messages to us throughout the checkout process, but you can also email us at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com.

I have allergies. Will your flowers bother me?

Oooh, ouch! Allergy-sufferers here too, but luckily for our love for flowers and farming, not triggered by pollen. We know this must be difficult, and we wish we have a better answer for you, but we can’t promise pollen-free country flowers in our bouquets. There is a mix of everything here, those with pollen and those with no or low pollen. If you know that being around flowers doesn’t’ make you feel good, then maybe a flower subscription is not for you. So very sorry. Have you tried introducing some flowery wallpaper, a curtain, a piece of art, or fun dishware in your home to surround yourself with flowers some other way? Just a suggestion; really wish we could help.

Are country flowers safe around pets and children?

Good question! Generally, yes, but there are a few varieties among locally grown flowers that just need perhaps some extra attention. There are common plants that carry minor toxicity and whose sap can cause skin irritation. Those are daffodils, tulips, irises, hydrangeas, marigolds, yarrow and baby’s breath. And then there are those rare ones labelled as highly toxic plants, such as foxglove, lily of the valley, larkspur and delphinium. You’ve likely heard of them; you may have them in your garden even; they are well-known and sought after by florists for bouquets and wedding work because they are just so beautiful. We grow all these varieties on our flower farm among our other country flowers, and they may end up in your bouquets. It’s important that you are aware, that you wash your hands after handling the bouquet (or can wear gloves if that makes you more comfortable), and just set the vase out of reach if you have little kids or pets curious by nature. Our two cats have been around the seeds, seedlings and mature plants of these varieties and have always been safe. They are not really attracted to them. However, if you still have concerns, perhaps a flower subscription is not the best option for you.

Can I request specific varieties for my country bouquet flowers?

We’ll have to disappoint you here because we make fresh cut flowers available based on what blooms in the field on any given week. Plus, individual requests would mean such high maintenance on our end that we cannot commit to, nor did we price such service in our subscription packages. Within this program, bouquets going out to our subscribers are all the same.

For how long will my fresh cut flowers stay fresh?

When ordering locally grown flowers straight from the farm, you are ordering from the source. It cannot get fresher than that! Cut the same day as delivered to you; it’s a commitment to have your country bouquet flowers last the longest. Of course, different varieties hold differently in the vase, but for the most part, their lifespan will depend on how you care for them. Generally speaking, the experience with our flowers points to about a week with the minimum of change of water; however, there are tricks to keep them beautiful longer. Our flower bouquet subscribers always get an email scoop ahead of the delivery on what’s in every new bouquet and how to provide the best care. We also share many tips on our social media, blog and newsletter via email, so be sure to follow us.

One thing is for sure though; once you try locally grown flowers, you will never go back to those poor imported, heavily treated plants.
