The following content lists terms of service for flower subscriptions, farm-fresh florist offers, wedding flower packages, DIY flower buckets and greeting card purchases.
TERMS OF FLOWER SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE
- We offer medium-sized bouquets as pictured on our website, and large ones expanded into even more prominent, striking bouquet arrangements. No matter which selection you make, we are confident these beautiful, organically grown flowers will take anyone’s breath away. (The pictured bouquets have an intent to show an example of some types of flowers and style one might expect. Throughout the season, there will be hundreds of varieties and colours in our production, and the bouquets will continue to change.)
- Flower subscription deliveries always go out on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, depending on your region. Once subscription packages are booked, we develop a schedule and notify all subscribers with respective delivery dates. Almost always, your delivery will be on the same day of the week. We cannot change dates per individual requests.
- At this time, a flower subscription can be purchased with delivery only if you are in UXBRIDGE, PORT PERRY, MT ALBERT, NEWMARKET, AURORA, STOUFFVILLE, SUNDERLAND, KESWICK, and GEORGINA. We do not offer a pick-up option for this product, and we cannot support the delivery outside of this geo scope.
- With your first delivery, you will receive a complimentary vessel with a drink of water for your flowers if you are not there to receive them. We kindly ask that you leave the same container outside filled with fresh water just before your next delivery. We’ll remind you, don’t worry! You will find your bouquet in the shaded area of your porch or around your front door. Recipients in apartment and condo buildings, please make sure we can deliver to your unit and that it is OK to leave the flowers in front of your door if you are not at home. (If needed, please check with your building management before making a purchase here.)
- We keep in touch with our subscribers. We send out regular notifications with useful tips on how to care for your flowers, what kind of flowers you may expect in the upcoming bouquets and any interesting bits on our sustainable, local production, which you are so graciously supporting.
- Flower field production in Ontario is highly weather-dependent. While we have many tools at our disposal, from protective tunnels to adequate irrigation, we cannot control mother nature. Can anyone?! Although we never experienced crop failure during our young establishment, we like to be prepared for all scenarios. In the event that our fields cannot supply you with promised flowers, we will first reach out to fellow local growers for a substitute. Should they deal with the same issue and we can’t get your flowers, don’t worry. Unlike the typical CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscription, where costs are shared in any event, we WILL issue a refund for non-delivered bouquets. You will always get value for your money.
- If you face unexpected events, such as moving or going for a vacation, it is possible to pause, deliver your flowers to another recipient of choice, or cancel your flower subscription. With a notice of at least one week in advance to our email address at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com, you can request this change. Not a problem! However, we will not be issuing a refund for the flowers already delivered or very late notices.
- As we mentioned, we cannot accommodate special flower requests in terms of their colours or if you have safety concerns around plants that may contain certain toxic properties or can cause pollen allergies. By washing your hands after handling the bouquet and keeping flowers out of reach of small kids and pets, they are safe to display at home, office and elsewhere. Read more in-depth about this topic and other points listed here in our Frequently Asked Questions section on our Flower Subscription page. After reading, if you still have concerns, perhaps this program is not the best option for you.
- In the event of any unplanned circumstances not covered here, we reserve the right to make changes to this program with timely communication to all subscribers.
- By purchasing any one of our Flower Subscription packages, you agree with the Terms of this service.
TERMS OF FARM FRESH FLORIST SERVICE:
- We offer large and lush hand-tied, mixed bouquets and flower arrangements in decorative vessels provided in two sizes. (The pictured arrangements have an intent to show an example of some types of flowers and style one might expect. Throughout the season, there will be hundreds of varieties and colours in our production, and the arrangements will continue to change. Floral vessels are subject to change based on what’s available in the market; however, they will remain neutral in their appearance, letting the flowers steal the show.)
- Unless otherwise stated, mixed flower bouquets and flower arrangements must be ordered at least two days before delivery, keeping in mind that we deliver Monday through Friday. We do not offer flower delivery on weekends and statutory holidays. We work hard in the field every day, so we need some lead time to prepare your flowers and arrange for the delivery. Should you miss to order in time, you can still email us at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com to inquire about the last-minute flower order. While we will always try to accommodate everyone, we make no guarantees.
- At this time, a bouquet or an arrangement order can be purchased with delivery only if you are in UXBRIDGE, PORT PERRY, MT ALBERT, NEWMARKET, AURORA, STOUFFVILLE, SUNDERLAND, KESWICK, and GEORGINA. We do not offer a pick-up option for this product, and we cannot support the delivery outside of this geo scope. The delivery fee is included with the selection of the product; therefore, there will be no additional charges at the checkout.
- IF ORDERING MORE THAN ONE ARRANGEMENT FOR THE SAME ADDRESS/DELIVERY AREA, PLEASE CONTACT US FOR DISCOUNT INSTRUCTIONS AT info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com BEFORE PURCHASING. We don’t want you to double pay the delivery portion that is already included in the product fee.
- In case you (or the recipient) are not at the address at the time of delivery, we will leave the arrangement in the shaded area of your porch or around your front door. Recipients in apartment and condo buildings, please make sure we can deliver to your unit and that it is OK to leave the flowers in front of your door if you are not at home. We cannot be responsible for missing flowers.
- We cannot accommodate special requests regarding specific flowers and their colours or if you have safety concerns around plants that may contain certain toxic properties or can cause pollen allergies. By washing your hands after handling the bouquet and keeping flowers out of reach of small kids and pets, they are safe to display at home, office and elsewhere. Read more in-depth about this topic and other points listed here in our Frequently Asked Questions section on our Farm Fresh Florist page. After reading, if you still have concerns, perhaps ordering flowers from here is not the best option for you.
- We keep in touch with our customers. We send out email messages containing useful tips on how to care for your flowers, what kind of flowers you may expect in the upcoming weeks and months and any interesting bits on our sustainable, local production, which you are so graciously supporting. You can opt out of these messages at any time.
- By purchasing a flower arrangement from us, you agree with the Terms of this service.
WEDDING FLOWER PACKAGES – TERMS OF SERVICE:
- If you buy one of our wedding packages by mistake, we offer a full refund within 48 hours from purchase, no questions asked. You can still cancel your order if you notify us no later than two weeks before your wedding date. In this case, a refund will not be in full as we keep the 35% of your order for the work already put into organizing and sourcing the material for your arrangements, and missing out on other wedding orders to accommodate yours. We do not accept last-minute cancellations, and should your wedding flowers not be picked up, they will be donated. This does not include the extreme situations that might be out of anyone’s control, such as pandemic restriction, illness or death, and such, and we will work with you to reschedule the handover of your wedding flower package if possible or cancel the order altogether. Cancellation requests caused by such extreme events will be assessed case by case; we urge customers to notify us as early as possible to be able to accommodate you during challenging times.
- Colour pallet and flower availability are subject to change simply because we do not control nature, and our crops depend on her greatly. With the selection of your package, we ask you to choose between colour palettes that are a more general guide for us when preparing your flowers. We also welcome additional messages during the checkout or via email at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com, where you can present your wishes in terms of flowers and colours and even attach a picture or two as an inspiration. However, we cannot promise that we will be able to follow this always and fully, but we’ll try to get to your vision as close as possible. Requests for specific flowers will be listened to but not guaranteed. Some varieties are only available during certain months of the season as per local growing conditions. If you are set on specific blooms or specific colours, perhaps wedding flower packages are not the best options for you. Still, we are growing an ample amount of colours and outstanding varieties and are confident that we can consistently deliver beautiful, high-quality blooms, freshly picked and arranged tastefully. (The pictured arrangements have an intent to show an example of some types of flowers and style one might expect. Throughout the season, there will be hundreds of varieties and colours in our production, and the arrangements will continue to change.)
- Wedding flower packages include box packaging with tissue for wearable flowers, clear glass vessels for bouquets and tabletop arrangements and a bucket if selecting a package with a DIY element. (You are welcome to bring your own bucket and help us make this process more sustainable by reusing plastics such as flower buckets.) When opting for a package as your wedding flower option, glass vases and bowls are yours to keep. If you don’t need them after the event, consider gifting them or even returning them to us where they can be put to good use again and not create waste.
- Our Wedding flower packages come as a pick-up option by default. Pick-up is at our farm in rural Uxbridge, about 50 to 60 minutes drive North-East from Toronto, 35 minutes from Newmarket and about 15 minutes North-West from Uxbridge centre. The exact address will be provided upon completion of the transaction and when we get closer to the date since the farm is not open to the public and accepts visits by appointment only. Delivery is also possible for an additional fee, and if you ask about it well in advance to make sure we have availability in our schedule. Our delivery area includes Uxbridge, Port Perry, Mt Albert, Newmarket, Aurora, Stouffville, Sunderland, Keswick, and Georgina, but we can facilitate locations outside of this scope for wedding events only.
- Pick-up (or delivery) of your flowers is typically scheduled on the morning of your event to ensure the freshest arrangements. If you can, it’s best that you send someone to pick up your flowers at this time. They will be hydrated, packaged for transport and ready to go. Of course, we can adjust this to the day before, but you will be responsible for conditioning arrangements yourself to last until the next day. This is not difficult, but it will require a refrigerator, a dark and cool space. We can certainly provide more instructions. Once you load your flower arrangements into your car, from that moment, their appearance and freshness are your sole responsibility.
- If you think you may want to choose delivery over the pick-up, or you would like to add more flowers to your package, please inquire about the additional costs before purchasing your package at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com. If you are feeling good about your new offer, we will create a revised package with the opportunity to pay all costs in one transaction.
- Our flowers include blooms with pollen, strong scents, and some common plants with certain toxicity levels, such as foxglove, yarrow, and hydrangea, to name a few. Washing hands after handling flowers and keeping arrangements away from children and pets are recommended precautions. We will not be responsible if our flowers cause allergic reactions or other harm.
- If you feel that our wedding flower packages don’t quite fit your needs and that you may need something more tailored to your specific ideas, you can make your wedding flowers entirely customized by visiting this section of our website.
- Congratulation and best of luck in your life together!
TERMS OF SERVICE – DIY FLOWER BUCKETS:
- We offer a lush mix of flowers and foliage that fits into a large bucket. Depending on the seasonal offerings and the available varieties, the bucket can hold between 120 to 150 stems. A bucket is not included, so we ask that you bring your own bucket/s when you come to pick up your flowers. (The pictured arrangements have the intent to show an example of some types of flowers one might expect. Throughout the season, there will be hundreds of varieties and colours in our production, and the mix will continue to change.)
- DIY flower buckets must be ordered at least two days before pick-up; the sooner, the better, especially if you’d like to run some special requests by us. More time is required to answer your questions and prepare any special arrangements in terms of pick up or delivery. Transactions with less than 48 hours lead time will be cancelled.
- Our DIY flower buckets come as a pick-up option by default. Our delivery area includes Uxbridge, Port Perry, Mt Albert, Newmarket, Aurora, Stouffville, Sunderland, Keswick, and Georgina, but we can facilitate locations outside of this scope for special events.
- Pick-up (or delivery) of your flowers is typically scheduled on the morning of your event or the day before to ensure the freshest arrangements. If you can, it’s best that you send someone to pick up your flowers at this time. They will be hydrated and ready to go. Flowers are living things, and they are susceptible to the conditions they are kept in and the way they are managed. Therefore, once you load them into your car, from that moment, their appearance and freshness are your sole responsibility. Of course, we will give you all the best tips to have them look great and last long.
- If you think you may want to choose delivery over the pick-up, or you would like to add more flowers to your order, please inquire about the additional costs before purchasing your DIY flower buckets at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com. If you are feeling good about your new offer, we will create a revised version with the opportunity to pay all costs in one transaction.
- Our flower mix may include blooms with pollen, strong scents, and some common plants with certain toxicity levels, such as foxglove, yarrow, and hydrangea, to name a few. Washing hands after handling flowers and keeping arrangements away from children and pets are recommended precautions. We will not be responsible if our flowers cause allergic reactions or other harm.
- We would like to encourage you to send us any additional messages you might have during the checkout or via email at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com. If you really don’t want to see specific flowers in your bucket, you may indicate so. Also, a short description of desired colour palette and flowers is welcome. We will use this information as a guide to provide you with a mix as close as possible to what you had in mind. However, we make no guarantees whatsoever as we can only work with what is produced in the garden. Therefore, by purchasing a DIY flower bucket from us, you must be comfortable receiving our best choice available at the time of your order.
- We do not issue refunds on DIY flower bucket products as the flowers are solely planned to fill up your bucket/s.
- By purchasing a DIY flower bucket from us, you agree with the Terms of this service.
TERMS OF SERVICE – GREETING CARDS:
- No return or refund for purchased packs of greeting cards.
