Our online flower shop offers fresh cut flowers sustainably grown at our Uxbridge farm from May to early October. During the off-season, we also have a selection of dried flowers and a holiday assortment of wreaths and garlands using fresh and dried organic ingredients. With the flower shop delivery on most of our products, such as flower subscriptions and one-time orders through our farm fresh florist service, we make it as convenient as a few taps on your smartphone to place an order. Flower Shop Delivery from Our Field to Your Table

When you buy flowers online from us, you are not purchasing whatever the florist has stored in the cooler, that likely travelled from South America who knows when and drowned in chemicals for a fresh look. The florist at the Old Barn Flower Farm doesn’t fly in anything and has nothing old and cooled to offer. At this online flower shop, you are buying stems freshly cut at our Uxbridge farm, delivered to you the same or next day. We walk our rows of flowers and select pieces of nature to share them with you just as they appear in our field – not constrained, healthy and simply adorable. Take advantage of our local flower delivery now!

Flower Farmer & Florist with a Goal to Ignite the Good Vibes

Committed to the ever-evolving sustainable production of local flowers and at the same time focused on providing a little bit of happiness our anxiety-filled lives are in desperate need of, we hope our Uxbridge farm brings a positive change. As we found immense joy in watching the tiniest seeds grow into gorgeous plants which also came with relief from today’s stress-inducing news, we insist on providing a flower vibe booster to others too! Flowers have a true power. They bring love, self-care and calm emotions that suit. Just being in the presence of beautiful, scented blooms makes us feel better. We can testify to this from our line of work, overcoming the hard part and making it a passion and a calling. Still, this effect of flowers has been proven by science too! So, do it for your wellbeing or make someone else’s day and order a flower shop delivery today.

Frequently Asked Questions About Florist Service & Flower Shop Delivery

What is the charge for the flower shop delivery?

Flower shop delivery availability and charge depend on the selected product and the delivery address. Some products have it simply included in the price, such as our bulk deliveries for the flower subscription program. In contrast, others give you an option to select your delivery area when selecting the bouquet or arrangement. Flower shop delivery is available for custom flower orders and will be priced once you contact us with a request for a flower order. Please find more details about flower shop delivery fees by selecting the desired product and reviewing the details on that page.

If I buy flowers online from your Uxbridge farm and shop, can I swing by to pick them up?

Our Uxbridge farm is not open to the public, and our flower shop offers pickup on select products by appointment only. Our farm is in a rural, somewhat remote area, and we wanted to make it convenient for our customers to simply buy flowers online and have them delivered to their doors. Most of our products are offered in such a way.

Do you only sell flowers that you grow at your Uxbridge farm?

Yes, Old Barn Flower Farm sells our own homegrown sheer variety of flowers. In the event of crop failure due to extreme weather conditions, we may resort to fellow local flower farms to fulfill our orders. So far, we have not experienced crop failure, but with the inclement events caused by climate change, every farmer must be prepared for what’s out of our control. Sourcing imported flowers is not in our DNA.

What are your flower-growing practices?

We are committed to sustainable, eco-conscious practices at our flower farm and florist shop. This means we do not use artificial fertilizers, pesticides, or other harmful chemicals to grow our crops. We also don’t arrange our flower designs with the use of floral foam, which is bad for the planet and bad for our health. When sourcing the material in terms of bouquet sleeves, vessels, stock to print our greeting cards, and even brand stickers, we select items made from recycled material that can be further recycled and composted. For lack of other options, we use plastic items in our farming, from seedling trays to irrigation lines, to flower buckets, and those we always clean and repeatedly reuse, even though maintenance requires extra time and work. There is so much that can be improved in the sustainable approach of farming, and we remain devoted to learning, testing, and adapting for the better life of future generations. Making locally grown flowers available here in Ontario versus flying in the imported ones is already a huge step in the right direction. We are so proud to be a part of the flower farming movement.

How can I add a greeting card to my order if I want to buy flowers online?

Adding a card to your flowers order is simple as 1, 2, 3. Select your flower product, and within its listing, there is an option to select and add a greeting card right on the spot. There is a spot to write your personal message to the recipient, and we will include it with your card and your arrangement.

How long will my flowers last?

Every cut flower and foliage acts differently in the vase. Some will stay fresh for a few days, while flowers like lisianthus look gorgeous for up to 3 weeks! It also depends on where you keep them and if you provide them with any care. Generally speaking, our mixed bouquets and arrangements will look fresh for 5 to 7 days at the minimum. We send them off for a good start by cutting them from the garden the morning of the delivery or the evening prior in most cases. They’ll have a chance to hydrate well, and we’ll recut the stems before we arrange them. The procedure locks in the freshness until they get to you. To have your blooms stay that way, we recommend recutting the stems every two or three days while giving them fresh water at the same time. You can also use a little pouch of flower food we always enclose to provide them with nutrients. Then as days pass, whatever stem does not appear as well as before, just pluck it out and enjoy the rest of the bunch. And remember, keep your flowers in a cool space, without direct exposure to the sun, for a longer-lasting floral display.

I need custom flower arrangements for my event; how can I place an order?

If you require custom arrangements for a wedding event, please fill out this form to check for availability first. If you receive a confirmation email from us on the date, we’ll start the order procedure by sending you our a la carte menu to make selecting wedding flowers easier. If you are organizing a business event, a baby shower or a birthday party and you’d like to decorate with flowers, please email us at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com to inquire. Please include the date and place of the event, briefly describe what you are looking for, and you may attach two-three inspirational images. Also, tell us if you’ll need a local flower delivery. We’ll get back to you within five business days.

Does your flower shop offer wholesale flowers?

When in season and when our field is producing abundantly, we may have availability for wholesale flowers. If you are looking to display fresh flowers at your business premises on a regular basis, if you are looking to buy bunches to sell in your store, or if you are a floral designer or an event planner, please use this guide to contact us.

The flower product I want to buy doesn’t seem to have anything left in stock. Can I still order flowers?

There could be many reasons a specific product shows an “out of stock” message. We may have sold the quantities or are booked for specific dates for wedding flowers, for example. We also may be cautious about opening all availabilities simply because we are mindful of the possibility of potential inclement weather disrupting our plans on any given week during the growing season. For that reason, we are careful not to overpromise. In any case, if you don’t see the availability for the flower arrangement, program or package, please email us at info@oldbarnflowerfarm.com to inquire. It’s a good idea to subscribe to our newsletter as our email subscribers always get the first dibs on everything. And of course, follow us on social media for all the farm and flower shop updates – find us @oldbarnflowerfarm.
